Marie Dufková
I am a Czech language tutor for foreigners, and I have been teaching for many years – a profession I still truly enjoy.
In my lessons, I place strong emphasis on a friendly and supportive atmosphere, as well as active student participation. I believe that languages are most effectively acquired in an environment where learners feel comfortable and confident enough to speak freely. My lessons are designed to be highly interactive: students work in pairs and small groups, engage in practical tasks, and communicate with one another throughout the lesson. We regularly practise real-life situations, such as workplace communication, interactions in public offices, and everyday conversation.
I use a communicative, task-based approach, focusing on topics relevant to both everyday life and the professional context. I also prepare my own teaching materials and activities to ensure that lessons are varied, natural, and practically useful beyond the classroom.
I am very pleased that many students return to my courses over time, and that we often work together over the long term – in some cases for several years. This allows me to closely monitor their progress while fostering an open and supportive group environment.
I would be delighted to welcome you to one of my lessons.
